The noise, the mess, the worries, it’s all gone and it’s just them, their soft face and slow breath. Hands curled the same way they did when they were tiny. And your whole heart aches in the best way.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou find yourself wishing they could stay this perfect forever, untouched by the world, innocent and safe. And sometimes, instead of just simply feeling that joy, you catch yourself checking - Are they warm enough? Is everything ok? And sometimes catastrophising - Are they still breathing? How could I live without them?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt’s what we do, we love so much that we brace for the worst, even in the sweetest moments. Stop and take a breath. Feel the love and joy. Stand a little longer and just be grateful for what’s right in front of you.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eThe horses behind Devotion\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen I was developing the idea for \u003cem\u003eThe Shape of Love\u003c\/em\u003e and thinking about the exhibition’s theme, I knew I wanted to draw or paint a horse as part of it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis drawing is also a tribute to my late mare, Cregclare Jasmine, and her foals, Summer and Jazz.
