How to Commission a Painting

Step 1: Initial Contact

To start the process, you can fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page or email me directly at mail@leeanne.uk . You can provide me with a brief description of what you're looking for, including the subject matter, size, and any specific details or ideas you have in mind. Feel free to share any reference images or inspiration, keeping in mind that I will interpret these in my own artistic voice.

Step 2: Consultation

Once I receive your inquiry, we’ll discuss your vision in more detail, your preferences, the style you’re interested in, and any specific colours or themes you want included. I’ll also answer any questions you have about the process, timeline, and pricing. Please note that while I will incorporate your preferences, the final artwork will be created in my own style.

Step 3: Proposal and Agreement

After our consultation, I’ll provide a proposal outlining the scope of the work, including size, medium, and estimated completion time. I’ll also include the cost of the commission and payment terms. Once you’re happy with the proposal, we’ll finalise the agreement with an initial deposit.

Step 4: Creation Process

I’ll begin working on your custom painting, immersing myself in the creative process to bring your vision to life. Trusting my creative process is key, as the final artwork will be an interpretation of your ideas through my artistic lens.

Step 5: Completion and Payment

Upon completing the painting, I will notify you and send final images of the artwork. At this stage, the remaining balance will be due before the painting is shipped.

Step 6: Delivery

After final payment, your custom painting will be carefully packaged and shipped to your desired location. I’ll provide tracking information and an estimated delivery date. Local clients may also arrange for pick-up or delivery.

Pricing and Payment

Pricing

The cost of a commissioned painting varies based on size, medium, and complexity. To give you a clearer idea of pricing, you can browse the products and artwork available in my shop on this website. This will provide an insight into the range of my costs and help you gauge what to expect. During our initial consultation, I’ll provide a precise estimate tailored to your specific requirements.

Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is required to begin the commission. The remaining balance is due upon completion before shipping.

I accept various payment methods, including bank transfer and credit/debit cards through my website.

A Note on Artistic Interpretation

Each commission will be created in my artistic style. While I will incorporate your preferences for subject, colour theme, and size, please trust that the final piece will be an interpretation of your vision through my artistic lens. This means that while I strive to capture the essence of your ideas, the artwork will reflect my creative process and personal touch.

Commission Limitations

Please note that I do not take on commissions for photographic or realism pet and human portraits. My work focuses on capturing the essence of subjects, nature, abstract themes, and conceptual pieces. If you have a subject in mind within these themes, I’d love to work with you to create something special.
