Tending is that kind of love that just turns up every day.

It’s there in a hundred little things, making sure their clothes are clean even if yours are piling up. It’s brushing their hair while yours is like a birds nest. It’s remembering what they need and forgetting what you need, not because you don’t matter, but because they do. That’s just what we do. We put them first.

It’s not glamorous. It’s not always noticed. Some days you feel invisible, taken for granted, so tired you could cry. But underneath the chaos and the mess, you keep tending, quietly, stubbornly, holding things together in ways nobody sees.

This is the work of love. The everyday, ordinary kind. The kind that matters.

This is my original A3 drawing, exhibited as part of The Shape of Love. It comes professionally framed with a Bordeaux border, white mount and white frame. I chose the red border for its association with love, tying the framing into the exhibition’s theme.
